This stapler is an example of the power of Quixel products (NDo and DDo). I created a simple base mesh in Maya, baked a couple details like the metal staple bed using XNormal, and let Quixel do the rest. The most difficult part of this workflow is creating precise color maps and ensuring the UVs are laid out correctly. Marmoset also provides excellent hdri maps to exhibit the full potential of PBR workflow. The stapler is part of a series of simple shapes that are textured and lit using physics based rendering.
