Syndrome was created in Maya using hard surface modelling to recreate the smooth inorganic silhouette that is typical of Pixar’s style in the movie. Once the base mesh was created and UV’d, details to the face, hair, and suit were added in ZBrush. Produced normal and occlusion maps out of XNormal. Photoshop was used in conjunction with Quixel to composite all maps as well as produce the basis for PBR materials. Later, he was posed using the transpose brushes in ZBrush, and rendered in Marmoset.
